MAKE YOUR MATTRESS COUNT

Ever since Design Mobel began from its humble beginnings in Tauranga in the late 80s, it’s set a trend in style & sustainability.

At the time, being environmentally-friendly was more about worm farming & homespun jerseys and not really associated with product development. However, Design Mobel set itself up as a market leader in sustainable business.

The brand originally started out in furniture manufacturing and was one of the first to be accredited in sustainable resource and manufacturing processes. In fact, Design Mobel won New Zealand Sustainable Business of the Year in 2007.

And since it began making mattresses, Design Mobel has become synonymous with sustainable and natural materials that are used in its beds. This includes latex and organic materials like wool and cotton.

The latest range of New Zealand Made Design Mobel beds include Pure that has 100% organic cotton and sustainable latex while the Hybrid models contain sustainable sourced wool and bamboo.

And Design Mobel, since it began, has made a major contribution to planting trees in New Zealand.

It’s helped plant more than 60,000 native trees here in Zealand. This continues today through the Trees That Count programme. We’ve made a commitment that for every Design Mobel bed sold, a native tree will be planted. Make sure you register your Design Mobel mattress to ensure the trees get planted.
